Here’s our story

We’re Ste & Jensen, the couple behind Wong Dumplings — a passion project that began at the end of 2021 and has since grown into a thriving food venture built on flavour and culture.

We met during lockdown while working in restaurants as front-of-house staff. Our shared love for food quickly became the foundation of our relationship, and on one date night, Ste suggested we try making dumplings from scratch. That evening, Wong Dumplings was born.

What started as a simple idea soon became our full-time passion. We began with just a van and a grill, trading at local markets, taprooms, and small events. Our following grew steadily, and before long, we needed a permanent base for our regulars. We chose to join Kargo.MKT, a new food hall in Salford’s MediaCity, where we expanded our menu to include Cantonese-style roast meats (Jensen’s favourite) alongside our handmade dumplings.
